Merida Capital Holdings is a private equity firm targeting fundamental growth drivers underpinning the rapid development of the cannabis industry. Our investment emphasis focuses on cultivation technologies, products and services associated with the evolution of cannabis as an agricultural product, a natural plant-based medicine, a constituent in pharmaceutical formulations, and a recreational consumer product.
We seek to invest in companies that have successfully transitioned from start-up to revenue-generating growth companies. We work to further accelerate proven operating models and supercharge the growth of their commercial pipeline. By identifying essential providers with strong management teams, we can anticipate where enterprise-level or large industrial providers in related non-cannabis fields will look to find growth in their core businesses through acquisition or investment.

With deep experience across the entire cannabis supply chain, Merida's investment thesis is focused on the normalization of cannabis in the US and around the world, and grounded primarily in four distinct verticals that span medical and adult-use markets and ecosystems. We seek compelling long-term value as the industry matures by investing in well-managed, revenue generating companies offering cannabis-based businesses essential products or services. We are invested in over 75 companies and manage $242 million across five funds and co-investments.

AQUEDUCT OF THE MIRACLES
Merida Capital Holdings is named for the Aqueduct of the Miracles (Acueducto de los Milagros). Located in Mérida, Spain, the aqueduct is one of the most successful and innovative infrastructure projects in world history. Over 2,000 years ago, the Aqueduct system contributed significantly to the establishment of foundational elements that still exist in the region today. Large sections of the Mérida aqueduct are still standing and are preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
